I grew up training beside Kru Mark for the last 10 years and he is one of the most talented Muay Thai practitioners I have ever trained with. Not to mention his ability to convey that knowledge to others. If you have the chance take advantage of the opportuinty to train with him.

Been Training with Mark for about a year now and it has been an amazing experience. He pushes you really hard to achieve your goals and shows you what you need to do to reach them. I feel very privileged to be taught by an incredible teacher at an amazing gym!

Ok...right there, you see - there is the problem. now try it. Nigel: holy bleep.......I did it! Kru Mark: Good, now repeat 1000 times! Kru Mark has a way with words that translates into success!

I always have loved the way Kru Mark teaches his classes. Basics, repetition and a focus on proper technique before anything. He always makes you want to learn more. It's been a great experience for me.

Mark is one of the most upbeat and positive instructors we have encountered. His enthusiasm and dedication to his sport is an inspiration not only to his students but to others as well. We could only be so lucky to have all of our child's teachers be such a positive influence.

I was very intimidated with the whole 'Muay Thai' training when I started. Kru Mark gets me going with basic training. His encouragement was a huge help! No doubt - Kru Mark is one of the best Muay Thai instructor in the world.

Unfortunatly I did not have the opportunity to be one of Kru Mark's students but I watched some of his fights and I read these comments, and everything I read was an absolute pleasure. The way everyone speaks of Kru Mark is amazing! I'd be happy to meet him some day and have a lesson.

Is a natural born fighter. Skilled in disciplines previous to Muay Thai and you'd never know because he looks like a pure bred Thai boxer. Great motivator, won't let you quit or get lazy using only techniques you're comfortable with but also lets you know what your strengths are. Can fight long, can box and is incredibly tricky in the clinch. Often used to poke fun at shotokan (karate) but can still probably do most katas from memory and throw wicked clean snapping kicks.

His positive attitude, wealth of knowledge, and charisma are what make his classes a pleasure to attend. He strikes a great balance between technique and fitness, and (class size permitting) is quick to focus in on individual students for small adjustments. Great guy and an amazing Kru!

I can't remember a time when i haven't encountered his ridiculously positive attitude. Mark has high expectations of all his students but equally matches this with the dedication, time, and energy he puts in to everything and everyone. despite all this, I still need to get him back for making me puke in my mouth while sparring ... just a bit.

Kru Mark is an awesome striking coach. He did Shotokan as a teen long before traveling the work over to fight in KB/MT contests. He's been to Thailand to fight and train. As a striker he's an excellent kicker (hence his nickname "BOOTS"), but he's well rounded and knows the clinch, elbows, knees, boxing etc As a coach he's all about mastering the basics, fundamental principles, and technique/form. He's very easygoing/encouraging and gives exceptional advice when something isn't working out for me in sparring. He's also a nice guy, excellent role model to his students, and is a purple belt in BJJ (very solid BJJ coach as well). He's def someone I'd want in my corner.

Mark is an excellent teacher and motivator in general. He has all of the technically ability and teaching ability to teach any level of student in most martial arts. Being mostly interested in Muay Thai, BJJ and MMA I was mostly impressed with his great respect for the honor and traditions of martial arts and how he passes it on. Wherever you want to go in martial arts, he can get you there (if you put in the work). Lastly, he kicks ass and stays humble.

I had the pleasure of training under Kru Mark for several years. I also had the opportunity to travel with him to compete all across Canada and even internationally! I've also been so lucky as to be able to train with Kru Mark one-on-one on a number of occassions. I've been fortunate to have him in my corner when I fought. Kru Mark has a way of challenging you while still being able to make certain you progress without going too hard. If you train at a level 1, he will train with you at a level 2, once you hit that level 2, he jumps up to three. You're always pushed, but he never completely overwhelms you. We've all been to those gyms where people are worried more about impressing others than helping others to improve. As others have said above, Kru Mark is confident in his own skill and doesn't feel the need to flaunt it for everyone to see at another's expense; as a result, his focus is on those around him improving rather than on his ego. I moved from Ontario to BC and was forced to train at another gym and I have yet to find an instructor as accomplished as Kru Mark, that has that keen ability to see a student's need and be able to respond with practical, and precise coaching. Even now, on the other side of the country, I honestly believe him to be one of the best in Canada.

The combination of Mark's affable nature and enthusiasm with his exceptional technical skills and ability communicate knowledge makes for an excellent instructor. Mark is gifted at breaking techniques into their components to make them understandable to the student. I have trained privately with Mark for several years. He is always responsive to my individual needs and requests. It has been an absolute pleasure to have Mark as my coach.

Kru Mark is one of the most easy going, humble and unassuming people I know, you would never know he's a fighter from meeting him on the street. But don't mistake his kindness for weekness!

I am lucky enough to learn from one of the best instructors around. Kru Mark is such a technical Muay Thai practitioner that he makes the most difficult techniques easy. Kru: "here it is broken down...... Now rep it out!" His love of Muay Thai shows through in every class and inspires every student to push themselves to their limit and beyond.

I have the pleasure (although my body doesn't agree) to train with Kru Mark. Always amazing , always something new. The nice thing is when he shows us a combo well he's used it in a fight. He's been in the ring he's been in the moment. Great person also always smiling and always encouraging you to give your 100%. It's an honor to train under Kru Mark.
